I just received a polite e-mail from Cubitt Jacobs & Prosek, a public relations firm for Spherion, the staffing firm. The name of the blog is The Big Time.
I work with Spherion, the staffing and recruiting firm and I wanted to give you a head’s up that they have just launched a blog for job-seekers at www.spherion.com/careerblog. Spherion is the first of the major staffing companies to do a public blog for job-seekers where they can ask questions and interact with career counselors, etc. Check it out.
The blog looks good, has hyperlinks to other career-consulting bloggers like Louise Fletcher and CM Russell, and is well-written. Here's the best part: Roy Krause, the CEO of Spherion, is listed as an author and has the first post.
Spherion is not the first staffing firm to have a blog (Volt was first), but they certainly seem to be the first to take it seriously enough to promote it and pitch it is as part of their long-term marketing strategy. Welcome to the Blogosphere, Spherion.
