I am here in San Diego and this is the largest ERE Expo in it’s history. Dave and his team have done an amazing job. I think there are about 600,000 people here.
Jason Goldberg as usual was confident and full of belief that Jobster is pushing the needle in the right direction. I was very impressed with some of the stats he provided and Jobster’s integration into FaceBook. If I were a company looking to hire entry level and young people, I would start thinking seriously about FaceBook and how I could become involved.
Cheezhead and Jason Goldberg squared off and both fighters held their own pretty well. Joel came out kind of swinging and Goldberg blocked very effectively. I think recruiting related blogs are going to continue to grow in the next year and this to me is very exciting. The survey that Jobster put out was answered by 250 people and about 10% of them plan on starting a recruiting blog in the next year.
The online recruiting industry today is moving, it’s shaking and in fast forward mode. The way candidates and recruiters can communicate and identify each other is quite amazing. I am happy to be a part of it.
