A casual statement taken in the wrong way. The truth twisted to unrecognizable shapes. An outright lie. A comment on MySpace. What causes damage to the reputation and destroys the reference?
Is There Really Defamation?

What I find interesting is the many facets of defamation that there are. The other thing I find fascinating is how some get the elements of it mixed up and don't see that they are actually defaming (or have done so repeatedly) while screaming that they have been harmed (and have not).
This shows that care needs to be taken when evaluating references and the quality of those references.
The other interesting thing about this submission is that it isn't showing up in the blog roll, nor the submission made three days before it. How strange this site is becoming.
