Somehow there's a connection between the ethics of recruiting and the rules drawn up to govern sports. In sports, there allowance for certain things that aren't right but keep the game high-pitched and exciting. They allow for the combatants (opposing recruiters) to match their skills against one another to see who will win the points (induce the candidate to interview or place the candidate). They allow the recruiters to be the best qualified recruiter. It's part of the strategy!
