Recruiting.com: From the ashes of disaster…

I was speaking the other day with Raghav Singh. Raghav knows about recruiting technology. We were catching up on his visit to HRTech in Chicago. He said one of the most impressive companies on show this year was Recruiting.com. My first reaction was, “Wha-wha?”

This past week, I had a couple of very nice (related) surprises.

Jeff Seely, CEO of Recruiting.com (nee Jobster), called and we had a delightful conversation about the joys of taking over and remaking a high-flying company. Seely, who is a seasoned entrepreneur, took the helm of Jobster as Jason Goldberg was making his exit. Goldberg, you might recall, was a high profile entrepreneur who vaulted the Jobster brand into prominence through a combination of chutzpa and market brilliance.

Six Degrees of Separation: KD, FOT, Maren Hogan, Jobster, HR Tech and Recruiting.com….

… Flash forward to HR Tech in Chicago last week (9/30/09).  I walk up to a ledge overlooking the expo hall and look on at the sea of humanity.  There among the pop up buildings is a display for Recruiting.com.  I do a quick web search and find this Cheezehead article that shows that Jobster changed its name to Recruiting.com.  Interesting. …
